IS-Wireless, a leading provider of 5G solutions, announces the deployment of its Private 5G network at the University of York to support University research into new telecommunications technologies. This is another rollout in the UK by the Polish company.
IS-Wireless will install its private 5G network solution as part of an initiative aimed at fostering the ecosystem for open 5G campus networks in Germany and Europe – CampusOS. The installation delivers both indoor and outdoor connectivity and will be based on Open RAN, including IS-Wireless’ software solutions for O-CU, O-DU, and Near- RT RIC
IS-Wireless will deploy its Private 5G network in Cardiff, Bath, and Shrewsbury. These networks will be established in high-demand and densely populated environments, including city centers and stadiums, marking a significant step in IS-Wireless’s involvement in diversifying the UK’s telecommunications market.

IS-Wireless has inaugurated the first 5G campus network at the Polish university, built in the Open RAN model and using the local frequencies. Experts emphasize that it is a milestone in the development of the telecommunications industry in Poland. The network, delivered at Bialystok University of Technology, will contribute to the education of the future 5G and 6G specialists.
IS-Wireless is proud to announce it will participate in the projects titled SUNRISE-6G, ORIGAMI and NATWORK from the latest Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) call for proposals. This project is set to develop innovative solutions for 6G technologies in Europe.
